A few long months after my grandmother passed away in 2022 I felt an urgency to explore my relationship with religion. I used to play video games at church as a kid and disrupt the service quite frequently. Looking around the hall and seeing imagery of crosses, gilded frames, saints, and feeling the slow passing of time became iconic for me. And this space for prayer and worship became a space for play through my child's eyes. I wanted to explore this relationship between the iconicity of religion and the euphoric nature of video games in early childhood in this album released under my alias CRDO
